Join Nick and Hans from Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii for International Coastal Cleanup Day as they lead us on a neighborhood cleanup along the water. Meet at Patagonia Ballard, grab a bag, learn about plastic pollution and waste diversion and then come back around to the store for some well-deserved coffee and donuts to refuel, on us! As always, we encourage you to bring your own cup!
Â
Follow them on Instagram @schroadtrip as they host more clean ups and embark on a big mission to teach 10k kids in underserved coastal communities along the West Coast about plastic pollution and clean water this year! These locally grown surfers have a lot of connections to Hawaii and hope to bring the commitment to malama 'aina (care, respect and nurturing the land) to communities on the mainland. This is their first Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii cleanup in Washington, so let's make it a BIG one!
